Apple & Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced into wedges
  • ½ cup of sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • ½ cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 1½ cup beef broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  2. Prep by cooking apple wedges and sweet potatoes in a skillet using 1 tbsp of olive oil. When apples and sweet potatoes are softened, remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Line a small cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  4. In a large bowl combine wheat flour, cooked apples and sweet potatoes, peanut butter and broth.
  5. Cobine ingredients using your fingers to incorporate the mixture. Form into a ball.
  6. Lightly flour a work surface and dust a bit of flour onto a rolling pin. Roll out dough until it is about ½ to ¾ of an inch.
  7. Use a dog bone dough cutter make as many dog treats as the dough will yield.
  8. Place uncooked dog treats on the cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake dog biscuits at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and cool dog treats on a wire rack.
  11. Serve to your favorite pooch.
