Hey y’all! Summer is here! Or, at least it feels that way! It’s been pretty darn hot where we live! Well, us pets would love some new outside toys and of course we always love tasty treats. Then again, there are those needed items like water bowls, shampoos, brushes, etc. They aren’t so fun, but my Lady says we need em!

Always have water available, many rest breaks from play, short trips outside. When outdoors for extended period, they have cooling mats in their crates that are under shade with cooling clothes, and they wear cooling jackets.
We stay inside in the cool air conditioning. When we go outside, we make sure that they stay hydrated with plenty of water.
I keep the fans going by her or have the air on. I also give her Frosty Paws in the summer.
I turn on the A/C and give him ice treats!!
we will run the air conditioner, stay in, try to keep the house cool.

It doesn’t get too hot in our house during the summer. But we keep the ceiling fans on, and make sure that our dog has plenty of cool water to drink. And when she goes outside on a hot summer day, our dog likes to play in a little kiddie pool with cool water and wiffle balls in it.
I bought a cooling pad that’s activated when they lay on it last summer. My dog loves it.
She has a cooling mat and loves to lay in front of the fan. We also have a kiddie pool for her to play in.
Let him hide under shade trees during walks.
I put ice cubes in his bowl and make sure there is always shade if he’s outside.
We keep them indoors in the air conditioning most of the time. They also like to eat ice and drink iced water.
Our pups are inside pups, so we don’t have too much trouble keeping them cool in the summertime.

My dogs like to lie on the cool wooden floors underneath the ceiling fans in the summer:) As border collie and border/blue heeler mix (high-energy dogs), they enjoy playing outside daily for short periods, but cooling off under the shade trees afterwards and having clean water always available.
We keep the air conditioner on even when we are not home 🙂

We move her pen down into the basement and we sleep down there where it’s much cooler. We make sure she has plenty of water everywhere and we splash some water on her when its really warm.

I always bring a portable water container for my dog whenever we go for a walk.

My one cats is 14 years old, and feels the heat so much. I have a plastic mat & I keep a baby blanket in there for him, that I keep wet all the time, this way it cools him down & he gets the best sleep laying on it on those hot days!

To keep my dog cool in the summer, when indoors we have the a/c on and put ice cubes in his water bowl, and we take him down by the water on the weekends, and for walks in the evening when it’s cooler. We always make sure to bring ice cold bottles of water to hydrate ourselves and our dog, and when in the yard we are in the shade.

I make sure that we always have water on hand. Our dog loves to go on car rides and she gets so excited she can overheat.

When it’s hot we have a childrens plastic pool and fill it with cold water. Our dog loves to splash and bite the water, so she cools off.
I put out a big tub of water and she lays in it.

We walk in the late evening after dark, or in the early morning. There is always fresh water and if it is too hot, they stay inside in the ac. One of our dogs likes water so the baby pool works for him.
Our dogs stay in with the A/C when it’s too hot. Otherwise they have fresh water and shade…
