Puppy Play Time Fun

We haven’t been doin’ to much here lately except playin. We go out every day a few times for our puppy play time. My Lady says we need the exercise and we have to get rid of some of that puppy energy. I’m not sure what that means, but I like play time! Seager and I are tryin’ to decide what we want to do today durin’ our play time outside. Sometimes we play chase, go explorin’, bark at our cat friends next door or play with some of those sticks the human folk are always pickin’ up here. They fuss about having to pick ’em up all the time, but we like ’em 🙂

Well, we ended up decided on findin’ us a good stick to play with. Seager found a good one and the chase was on! He was holdin’ on pretty good and I couldn’t get a good grip. But, big girl Maggie, got a good bite on it. That got him up on his feet. Woof Woof! Of course, she ended up with it and the chase was on again!

Sallie even got in on the play! She hardly ever wants to play with us, but I guess she decided she wanted to tackle Maggie. I don’t know what she thought she was gonna do grabbin’ the end of it like that?! Seager and I decided to help her out, but heck, all I could get a hold of was the other end. Seager got in there and got a good bite on it though. We played tug-a-war with that stick for quite a while.

Seager ended up gettin’ tired and had to rest a while. Those awful heartworms he had when we got him, makes him get tired fast during our puppy play time. He’s still takin’ his pre-meds for them and his first treatment will be in November. I sure will be glad when he is completely well!

The rest of us played a while longer and by then my Lady was callin’ us to come in. It was time to go in and get a short snooze before supper time. Them sticks’ll still be out there later waitin’ on us 🙂
