Winter Safety Tips for Dogs
Winter is truly here – even for us in the South! With the arrival of cold temps, it is important to take a few minutes and talk about Winter Safety Tips for Dogs.
Some pups, like my double-coated Shepherds LOVE the snow and cold weather. However, that doesn’t mean they need to be left out there for extended periods of time.
My pups have their playtime but come in every so often to warm up and, of course, they sleep inside.
For smaller dogs, like my Chihuahua and Rat Terrier, a coat is a must-have! I would also love it if they would wear boots, but it has been a no-go on those 🙂
These little dogs simply cannot stand much of the cold and need to be protected as in mainly staying inside.
Anyway, take a minute to read our safety tips. You never know when they may come in handy.
I know! I know! I haven’t forgotten the fun giveaway!!
Maybe your pup would like a new sweater or a fun toy to play with in the snow. Or, perhaps, you are hankering for a fun gift for yourself. Either way, let’s get on to the fun part, shall we?

It is down to five minutes because he is getting older and I think it is arthritis, but the vet wont speculate without massive testing and I don't want to subject him to that if not necessary.
