The 4th of July holiday is welcomed by all except perhaps our dog pals.

While they enjoy the aromas from the BBQ grills wafting through the air, the noise from the firecrackers is enough to have them burrowing under beds and trying to get in closets.

My pups are deathly afraid of the popping that comes along with firecrackers and the whole noisy celebration.

And, the celebration seems to go on for a week even after the holiday 🙁

We deal the best we can by turning up the TV to help cover the noise. The pups also wear bandanas spritz with our own DIY dog calming spray.

The soothing scents of lavender, chamomile, and sweet marjoram help them relax somewhat during the fireworks and it is also great during thunderstorms!

And, so, we got to thinking maybe you need a few supplies to make your own calming spray for your furry friends.

Or, maybe you just need a little extra spending money. Don’t we all?!
