#Win an ASPCA Pet Owner Disaster Preparedness Prize Pack! – ends 9/13 US Only

When it comes to storms and bad weather, we automatically know to prepare for ourselves. But, do you include your pets in those preparations? Our pets are an important part of our lives and need to be included in preparing for whatever disasters come our way.
ASPCA Protect Your Pets From Disaster

August 23rd marked the 10 year anniversary of the most devastating hurricane to his the United States, Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina killed nearly 2,000 people, left 600,000 pets deceased or homeless. Almost half (44%) of the people who refused to evacuate during Hurricane Katrina said they did so because they felt they could not bring their animals with them. Despite this tragedy, recent poll shows that 35% of pet owners still don’t have plans in place for the next big storm.

Are you ready for the unexpected? While you can never be completely ready, you can take steps to prepare for a natural disaster for you and your pets. I am encouraging pet owners to pledge to prepare for their pets in the event of a natural disaster. This informative infographic gives you simple steps that can save lives in the event of an emergency.ASPCA When Disaster Strikes infographic

I love to be prepared for anything, especially for my beloved Malamute. He is an old guy now, so we watch his sugar and take better care of him. Thank you for the chance to win this.
