Good Luck Y’all!
we have all our important papers in a safe to go !!! so probably not we should be MORE prepared
Yes our home has fire alarms we have a fire plan. I pray to God we never have to use any of it.
We do have a fire plan, hopefully we can do it for real if needed.
We’re pretty much prepared in case of a fire, but I worry that one or two of our three cats will take off and hide should there ever be an actual fire. Having crates ready for them and having leashes for the dogs by the door – only do good if you can find the animals. We have three adults in the home and no children, so my furbabies are my first concern.
I live alone and feel confident I am prepared for a fire.
We have practiced for different emergencies often, so I would hope that we are prepared but will never have to experience such a situation
No, probably not. We have a couple of fire detectors that are linked to our alarm system to alert the fire department. I realized recently thought that we don’t even own any kind of fire extinguisher :0 We also haven’t discussed any fire plans.
I think we are. We check our batteries often and we’ve spoken to our kids what to do if there is a fire.
Yes, I think we are prepared for a fire, we have a couple fire extinguisher and keep the yard clear of
I think we are prepared – although when it really happens I’m not sure anyone is totally prepared.
I think my family is somewhat prepared. We have some plans in place but could improve on our emergency contacts, meeting place and communications. Also we need to increase our number of fire extinguishers.
I think we are semi prepared because we have fire alarms.
yes
We are not really prepared. When we moved into our new home, the smoke detectors were defected. All of the detectors would go off randomly, so we had to take them down, and have not replaced them yet.
I dont believe we are 100% prepared. We do have 2 smoke alarms, however we could use another one for the downstairs room.
I don’t know if your ever totally prepared for any disaster.. But fire extinguishers and smoke alarms help. Having crates/carriers handy for your pets and important papers in a fireproof filebox.
I think we are prepared. We have smoke detectors. We all know to leave the house at the first sign of smoke.
We are not as prepared as we should be for sure.
No, I need new batteries. I also need a good flashlight.
Kinda but probably not as prepared as we should be in all honesty.
Yes. Everyone knows the escape plan
I don’t really feel prepared for a fire. I have an emergency bag packed but I don’t have the right things in it. It’s scary because there are so many fires near where I live (California).
There is only me and my fur baby. So…my plan is to grab the fur baby and run!
I dont think so. We haven set out a plan that everyone could easy follow nor do we have a fire extinguisher at all.
We are probably as prepared as we could reasonably be. They know the escape routes and how to use an extinguisher.
I come from a family of firemen. We try to be prepared. Thanks for the giveaway!
Such an awesome give away, something worth winning.
yes. We have sprinklers in our apartment and two smoke detectors!
We are very prepared. We had a carbon monoxide leak over the winter and we made it out within minutes of the alarm going off.
We are fairly safe because we already have smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and an fire evacuation plan, but there are some more things we can do.

Need another smoke alarm.
We know our exits and know what to do
I think we are for the most part but there’s always room for improvement!
We do have a plan in case of fire, but I’m sure that we could probably be prepared. We have set up a place to meet away from the house. A few years ago, my next door neighbour’s house burned to the ground. I know from that experience just how devastating a fire can be. Thanks for the giveaway.
Yes they are ready
I think we are not as well prepared as we should be
Yes I believe my family is prepared in case of a fire, we do monthly fire drills.
I would just love to win this fire prevention kit. We have a woodstove and a propane tank so this kit would be great to win.
It’s just me so I believe that I am
No, because we don’t regularly check our supplies and have everything we should in our home.
GREAT giveaway, by the way. Something useful.
Good luck to all!
Yes, we have evacuation routes and fire extinguishers.
I do not think my family is prepared for a fire. I do need to go out and get a couple more fire detectors and a carbon monoxide detector. What we really need to do though is upgrade the wiring and get a new circuit box. Mine makes me a bit nervous. This house is 70+ years old, still has the original knob and wire wiring, and I have tripped circuits when you wouldn’t normally have done so because the circuits just can’t handle it.
There were 2 fires in the last week one killing the three occupants and the other the owners were away. It is so important to keep up with replacing batteries aor getting new emproved smoke detectors
I hope my family is prepared. We have practiced and mapped out a way to escape from any room if a fire does happen.
We have an evacuation plan!
We have not even begun!! We need everything!!!
Kinda.. we have smoke detectors and a plan. But i think we need to start discussing it more so the kids and us are on the same page!
I don’t think they are, I will work on it.
I think we are prepared but no one really knows how he/she will react in a situation like that in advance.
Yes were prepared! We have way more detectors than recommended! And we talk about what we need to do!
We could always be more prepared.
I am not sure. We need to make more of a plan.
I don’t think we are fully prepared. We do have one smoke alarm and my husband is pretty good about checking the batteries.
we try to be prepared and hope to be prepared. i am very aware of the dangers of fire.
I believe we are as best prepared as we can be, I don’t think you can be truly “ready” for something terrible but proper planning can help eliminate the freak out of the scare.
We have discussed it so I hope we are ready!
Yes, I do believe my family is prepared for a fire. We do a family fire drill every 6 months and we make sure to keep all equipment up to date as well.
We have smoke detectors, but we could be better prepared.
Yes! Just grab the dogs and run!
We are prepared. I’ve educated my kids on proper procedures.
I think we are prepared. We have alarms, fire extinguishers and everyone knows what to do.
Person closes to the phone !!
I do think we are prepared. We have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers and practice an escape route regularly.
I think so, but one can never be too prepared.
Yes . This has been discussed with a plan and we have a fire extinguisher.
We are not fully prepared. We have a smoke detector but no fire extinguishers. We are planning on buying a fire proof safe for our important documents.
I think we are well prepared at our house. We have alarms and fire extinguisher.
All I have set up right now is a fire alarm and do not have a fire plan. Thank you for the blog post now I am thinking about what I need to do.
I am not totally prepared.I will update my smoke detectors.
I think we are prepared. Have discussed it with the kids as they grow older.
i really like to think we are!! we have talked about it a few times
I. Think i am. I have the right amount. Of smoke detectors for the house, a carbo. Monoxide detector and fire extinguisher.
I think my family is kind of prepared, we all practice escape routes and such, but we do not own a fire extinguisher.
Yes I think we are prepared.
I think that my family can do better with fire prevention planning. It is time I get on that.
I don’t think we are ready. I want to go over how we will handle the pets. I want to do some research first. I am worried that the kids will think of the pets before their own safety. I want to find a plan where everyone gets safely out including our pets.
we have smoke alarms and a tiny fire extinguisher. This would be great to have.
We are prepared. We have a plan and we have practiced what to do in a fire.
We have talked about it and have smoke alarms but I don’t know if I feel like we are 100% prepared if something were to happen.
Yes we are prepared we have quite a few smoke alarms throughout the house and a fire extinguisher in the kitchen
wow
We are now. We took advantage of all the tips and guides early last year because we were expecting a very active fire season.
Not at all we have nothing
I really hate to admit it but we are not at all prepared
I think we are because we talk and practice drills.
We are a little prepared, but could more! We have fire detectors thats it.
No not really. I mean our windows are low so we could jump out easily im sure and we have smoke detectors but we would never be prepared and I just hope and pray it never happens.
I am as prepared as humanly possible because I have smoke alarma, fire fighting items and an escape route out of my house. Since I live alone there is no one else to be prepared other than me.
We have smoke detectors all over our house.
I think that we’re somewhat prepared but I feel that we need to do more.
We have fire detectors.
Last year our house was hit by lightning and did some structural damage. We have tried to stay prepared since then.
I think they are but you can never be to prepared to a fire. This prize is great, thanks for the chance
Yep.. we are prepared. everyone knows what to do, how to take care of the animals.. and have since the kids were little!
I honestly think we could be more prepared. We need to come up with a fire plan on what to do and where to meet in case of a fire. They also should know where the extinguisher is if needed.
We have smoke alarms and fire extinguishers
I do think we are prepared. We have a plan of action and we discuss it periodically to stay on top of things.

We dont have it. We trust God daily
I think for the most part i do. we know how to get out of the house in case of a fire and where to meet up
No. Actually I do not think we are as prepared as we should be. we need to have a solid plan of escape and practice to ensure that the plan works.
I think we are as prepared as anyone can be. We have practiced and have a drill on occasion.
i think we are pretty prepared, we have detectors and have taught the kids fire safety
we have dual-action detectors, and a co2 detector.
