#Win the Puppy Home School Online Course from The Dog Coach! Open WW Ends 3/21

Enter for a chance to win the "Puppy Home School Online Course" from The Dog Coach!

This giveaway is sponsored by The Dog Coach and hosted by Mom Does Reviews.

With 10 dogs in my home, nothing is more important than training! Everything from being able to tell them to sit or stay to having obedience during feeding times, it all pays off. With that said, all training isn’t equal. Knowing the proper way to go about it can solve many headaches and help speed things along.

I would personally love to have access to a training facility but living in a small rural town, it is just not a possibility. That is where a great online course comes in! With an online course, you can go at your own pace AND from the comfort of your home!

Let me introduce you to the “The Dog Coach” and then we will look at the fun online course. And, of course, we have a chance for you to win the Puppy Home School Online Course!

About The Dog Coach

Who Am I? I’ve run puppy classes, had many puppies to stay for board and training, and worked one-to-one with hundreds of dogs and their owners. Before that, I too lived through the ups and downs so familiar to many dog owners: clearing up mess or apologising profusely as a stranger’s picnic found itself en route to my dog’s stomach.

Finally, with the arrival eleven years ago of Cory, my Labradoodle, and a break from my previous career in publishing and technology, I decided to do something about it! I took courses with some of the best teachers of modern, reward-based dog training methods. And, for the past ten years, I’ve been coaching owners to help them train their dogs.

Puppy Home School Online Course

About Puppy Home School:

Puppies are super cute and full of energy. They are also puppies and haven’t be taught acceptable behavior. From the new owner’s side, the family is ready for the puppy to be a member of the family. From the puppy side, they are probably wondering where they are, and where are all their littermates? Getting a new puppy is said to be like having a new baby. If you have this mindset, understanding the areas of training will begin to make sense.

This course will take you through training your new puppy in 27 lessons in four modules. Each of the modules introduces a new task or area to concentrate on in training.

I feel like the most important advice to walking a dog on a lead is patience and firm direction. Consistently, using the word NO when correcting is far better than "stop it" or 'hey" which can be really confusing to your pooch! (this actually always applies not just walking on a lead, hehe) Otherwise, I don't have much experience walking a dog on a lead.
