Homemade Frozen Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats

I’m not sure what the weather is like where y’all are at, but it is hotter than grease frying up in a skillet here! It’s when pups enjoy a cold treat like these Homemade Frozen Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats my Lady makes us!

Talk about doggie Heaven! WOOF! They sure are tasty and cool us right on down!

I’ll let her tell you how to make them for your pups!

Homemade Frozen Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats

Miss Molly is a pickle, isn’t she? But, she is right in that ALL the pups LOVE these tasty frozen dog treats!

 

These Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats are not only delicious, but they are also healthy!

Apples and blueberries provide added nutrients that are good for your pup. And, they are also a very welcome cold treat on hot days.

Homemade Frozen Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats Recipe

Ingredients:

Homemade Frozen Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats supplies

1/4 Cup homemade unsalted chicken broth
1/4 Cup water
1/4 Cup blueberries
1/2 Gala apple

You will also need:

Dog bone silicone mold
Measuring cup

How to make these tasty Frozen Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats:

1. In a small bowl or glass measuring cup, mix together your unsalted chicken stock and water.

2. Wash your fruits and slice your apple into small pieces.

3. Add a couple of apple pieces and a couple of blueberries to your silicone dog bone molds.

4. Fill your silicone dog bone molds up with your chicken broth/water mix.

5. Freeze for about 3 hours.

6. Push up on the bottom of the mold to get your frozen treats out.

Want to use Homemade Chicken Broth? Here’s how:

Don’t throw those chicken bones out from dinner!

1. Place your leftover cooked chicken carcass in a large pot and cover with water.

2. Let it simmer for about 90 minutes.

3. Now strain out your broth, discarding all bones and meat.

4. Let your broth cool and there you are!
