My Lady says us pups are an important part of the family and that it's important to let us know she cares about us. She also says there is one language all dogs understand and that is 'food'! She's got that part right especially when it involves Apple & Sweet Potato Peanut Butter dog biscuits WOOF!
But, she's all about that healthy business too with the veggies and fruit and homemade dog treats.
But, you don't hear me complaining!
Today, she's been in the kitchen again stirring us up some pawsome smelling Apple & Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits for our afternoon treat.
I sure do love my Lady 🙂
I know most of you dog owners know us pups love some apples, sweet potatoes, and peanut butter.

½ cup of creamy peanut butter (I use natural peanut butter - no Xylitol please!)
1 ½ cup beef broth or vegetable broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.

2. Prep by cooking apple wedges and sweet potatoes in a skillet using 1 tablespoon of olive oil. When apples and sweet potatoes are softened, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Line a small cookie sheet with parchment paper.
4. In a large bowl combine wheat flour, cooked apples and sweet potatoes, peanut butter, and broth.
5. Combine ingredients using your fingers to incorporate the mixture. Form into a ball.
6. Lightly flour a work surface such as a silicone mat and dust a bit of flour onto a rolling pin. Roll out the dough until it is about ½ to ¾ of an inch.
7. Use a dog bone dough cutter to make as many dog treats as the dough will yield.

8. Place uncooked dog treats on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
9. Bake dog biscuits at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
10. Remove from oven and cool dog treats on a wire rack.
11. Serve to your favorite pooch.

Hi
Can we substitute almond flour for wheat. And can I cook the apples n sweet potato with coconut oil instead.
Thanks
Evelin
Molly says
Yes on the flour substitution and on the coconut oil substitution. The only thing is - by using almond flour you may have to up the peanut butter a bit to help it bind (or hold together) better. Otherwise, it will work perfectly 🙂

What a great recipe.

This is a great recipe-I make all of my dogs’ food and treats, and this is a new favorite. The only thing is that my dough needed 3-31/2 cups of flour-but once I did that, the dough is really easy to work with, and my girls love them!!❤️?
Kayleigh says
Same here- I needed more flour for the dough, but after that it was easy!
Marla Jones says
I will have to try and see if my babies like these.
