Can Dogs Eat Spinach:
Spinach can be a part of a balanced and healthy diet for dogs, especially when baked into tasty dog treats.
When given in moderation, spinach is an excellent source of vitamins A and K, magnesium, manganese, iron, Vitamin B9 (Folate), and dietary fiber.
Spinach contains vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to dogs’ health but you must be served in the correct quantities.
Too much consumption of spinach can cause upset stomachs or gas in dogs.

Homemade Parmesan & Spinach Dog Treats
Ingredients:
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup frozen pureed spinach
1 cup beef or chicken broth-low sodium
½ cup parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp. parsley
1 egg, large
1 Tbsp. coconut oil
Recipe makes about 18-20 standard cookie cutter Christmas trees
How to make these tasty Dog Treats:
Preheat oven to 350°
Line a cookie sheet with foil, parchment paper, or a silpat mat.
Thaw spinach completely.
You can use spinach as is and the recipe will be just fine, I chose to further puree it in my chopper to make it a finer texture.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl until well mixed.
Flip the dough out onto a well-floured surface and knead for 1 minute.
Roll out to ¼ “ thickness and cut into desired shapes.
Bake for 11-14 minutes until golden brown- I pull mine out at about 12 minutes because my pups prefer a slightly softer texture.
Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days in the refrigerator or 2 months in the freezer.
