As most of our dog treats are, humans can enjoy them too as they are made with 100% human-grade ingredients.
And, even though dogs love peanut butter applesauce treats, they may be a bit bland for us as they have no sugar or salt to amplify the flavor.

Seriously, how cute are they? I’ve given homemade baked goods for holiday gifts, but never thought to do the same with homemade pet treats. I’m not sure why because homemade dog treats are perfect for dog-lovers.
Will try these Alister loves peanut butter.

Can you substitute regular vegetable or canola oil for olive oil
Yes, and it will still be perfect 🙂
Thanks for this great simple recipe! Simple, healthy and inexpensive way to make yummy dog treats! Made some for my 11 yr old black lab’s birthday along with homemade peanut butter, yogurt and maple syrup ice cream. He and his golden retriever brother couldn’t have been happier! Recipe makes a lot so put extras in freezer for later! Thanks again!
I love these recipes, thank you. My mom and I are finally going to make our babies treats. We should have fun. It doesn’t look complicated. I hope the babies love them
I knew peanut butter was good for humans, I didn’t know it was good for dogs, too!
This recipe sounds good for humans, too!
I love making snacks for Sorcha, thanks for sharing your recipe.
Thanks for this wonderful recipe.
I love seeing all of these recipes! I want to make these, and soon!
Made these for my two Boxer babies. They love them, made nowhere near 50 more like 25 treats. I will make these again .
My fur babies would love these homemade dog treats. I need to make these for my doggies and see how they like them!
I just made these today only I halved the recipe. I only have one little dog and the treats I’ve made before he ate for a couple of days and then didn’t want them anymore. The only thing I did different was grind the oatmeal in my little food processor. I also had to bake them a little longer because he likes crispy! Lol Anyway so far, so good! He nabbed it out of my hand and scarfed it up! Thank you so much for the recipe!!
Love the way the dough comes together so easily! I have 5 dogs and this was a hit!
Absolutely love this. i dont have a dog, but gonna share this with my sister
Just made these for my pup and she loves them! I told my boyfriend I made cookies for him and he ate one. He asked if I accidentally used salt instead of sugar. But they are great since it’s made with human grade food. I blended some oats and flaxseed up to a powder consistency and mixed it in with the whole purpose flour because my little gal needs some more fiber. (lessened the flour amount but still 1.5 cups total with the powders) I made little nugs / bite size pieces shapes because I didn’t have a cookie cutter. They turned out amazing.
i tryed it omg my dogs just wanted more thanks !
thanks my 3 dogs love them they almost broke out a fight over them I will make them every time they will be good! bye bye thanks.!!!!!!!!!😉😀
Oh my goodness! I am going to have to make these. I might even try them!
If I use more whole wheat flour can I leave out the oats?
this toys real cute
Made these today and my dogs LOVE them! I used baking molds for bigger treats since I have bigger dogs. The cooking time was roughly 30 minutes because I wanted crispier ones and they were thicker. I’m going to freeze half of them and refrigerate the other half. Thank you so much!
How long do they stay good for in the refrigerator?
Great recipe!! My dogs love these treats! The recipe is super easy too.
