?Homemade Sweet Potato Banana Dog Treats Recipe
?Ingredients:

2 cups Whole Wheat Flour - divided (1 ½ cups for recipe, the other ½ cup for rolling out dough)
¼ cup Whole Oats
1 Banana
2 eggs
1 4-oz jar of Sweet Potato baby food (I used chicken and sweet potato for some added flavor)
(Will need parchment paper)
?Instructions
Preheat oven to 300°F

Mash the banana in a bowl, then add the sweet potato baby food. Mix until well combined.

In another bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, oats, and eggs.
Combine the sweet potatoes and banana mixture with the flour mixture and stir until all ingredients are combined.
Using the ½ cup of wheat flour, sprinkle some out on your work surface and knead the dough, adding the extra flour as you go until the mixture is no longer sticky and is able to be flattened out to ¼ inch thick.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Using a butter knife, cut the dough into 1-inch x 1-inch squares and place on the lined cookie sheet.

I used the back end of a fork to make impressions, simply for style; this is optional.
⏲️Baking time
Bake at 300°F for 45-55 minutes.

Once they are done baking, turn off the oven and let them cool completely in the oven so they can dry out as much as possible.

Once cooled, store in an airtight container. They should last a few days on the counter.
These dog treats will keep longer if stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
Let your pooch enjoy!

These sound delicious! My baby has major case of pancreatitis and an inflamed liver so She’s limited on what she can have. Eggs being one. I was wondering if these would be ok with egg whites? And if there soft as well 🙂

I'll have to remember this one for when I have bananas in the house! I've been using grated carrots or apples along with sweet potato. But I have a can of pumpkin puree that's waiting for the next treat recipe.

I love this recipe. There are so many things that are harmful for dogs to eat so coming across this is special.
