K9 Sport Sack: Because Dogs Just Wanna to Have Fun! #Petpalooza2

Us pups love to go on hiking trips. My little sister, Little Bit, likes to go too. She starts out with them little legs just a pumpin’ to keep up with us big dogs. She does a purdy good job of it for a while. Then, she gets tired and starts laggin’ behind, with her tongue all lolled out. That is when My Lady or Man has to pick her up and carry her to get her back home. Little Bit has a fit if ya try to leave her at home, so what do ya do ’bout that? Leave it to my Lady to find an answer! She went and got her a K9 Sport Sack!

K9 Sport Sack: Because Dogs Just Want to Have Fun!

The K9 Sport Sack is a handy dandy thing like a dog backpack and she can ride on their backs. She acts like she’s Queen of the Nile ridin’ up there! Spoiled rotten I tell ya! WOOF! Lemme round up my Lady to tell ya ’bout the little Queen’s new contraption!

Here’s what my Lady says ’bout the K9 Sport Sack

Little Bit is a tiny little thing and it is even more pronounced being side-by-side with the other 6 dogs. We joking say she lives in the land of giants, as they range from 100 to our big Ozzy weighing in at a whopping 132 lbs! It’s true what they say though. In her mind, she believes she is a Great Dane! She holds her own with other dogs, but what strikes terror in her heart is being left alone at home! She wants to always be with her people, even if they move from room to room in the house. Who knows what terrors she faced before us rescuing her, but she is as skittish as they come and loaded with anxiety issues!

Staying home with the other dogs while we go out is another problem, which requires that she is crated. While I don’t believe they would hurt her, I am afraid that her “big dog attitude” will get her into trouble. So, for her own safety and just in case, she stays in a crate when all the dogs are home alone. When I heard of the K9 Sport Sack, it sounded like the perfect solution to allow her to join the fun times!

K9 Sport Sack Air

Instead of leaving her at home alone or in a crate, Little Bit can now join us for fun activities like hiking, biking, visiting the farmer’s market, etc. The K9 Sport Sack allows her to ride comfortably on our back, out of harm’s way, while enjoying the sights and sounds!

About the K9 Sport Sack

The K9 Sport Sack is the best thing since the sliced bread. At least we think so. Daniel and Joseph, Co-Owners of K9 Sport Sack, created the K9 Sport Sack so that you and your pet could go out and adventure safely and comfortably. No more leaving your best friend behind. Bike rides, motorcycling, hiking, shopping, and anything else you can think of is a whole new experience with a K9 Sport Sack and your best friend riding on your back. If you are like them and like to take your dog with you places, then the K9 Sport Sack is perfect for you.

How to get your dog in the K9 Sport Sack

I admit that when I received my K9 Sport Sack, I tried to just stick her in there. Nope! Nope! That was not going to happen! She stiffened up, pulled, yanked, and carried on. But, when all else fails, watch the instructions, right? Once I watched the video and followed the arms in first method, fasten the buckle, body in, and zip – it worked like a charm! Funny how those instructions are there for a reason isn’t it?!

Once in the K9 Sport Sack for the first time, Little Bit wiggled around a bit, stretched, and pressed with her legs. Eventually, she settled in for the ride once she realized – hey, this is comfy and I am WITH my human! There was a slight chill in the air, but she was nestled in snug as a bug and the warmth from the sunshine felt good. She got comfortable and I could swear she was looking sleepy! But, wait! She was suppose to be seeing the sights not napping!

She must have just been dozing because the rattle of the treat bag livened her up! Little Bit really enjoys treat time from her perch! She doesn’t have to compete with the maze of long legs belonging to the big dogs!

Seriously! Imagine being that little in the middle of these brutes! Needless to say, she loves being able to hang out with the hubs and the rest of the pack.

K9 Sport Sack Sizes

The K9 Sport Sack comes in sizes X-Small, Small, Medium, and Large. While they don’t recommend for dogs over 30 lbs, the K9 Sport Sack has been tested over 55 lbs. (who would want to carry a dog that big anyway?  EEK! I would have to be carried home!) You can view the sizes, and how to measure, under the size tab on their website. There is also a sizing video and they are open to emails if you need extra help with your decision.

I’m so sweepy! All the new sights and smells have plumb tuckered me out!

Our Thoughts

I’m not sure who loves the K9 Sport Sack more – Little Bit or us! She has decided she loves her new backpack! From her stand point, she gets to always be with her humans and/or the rest of the pack! She can enjoy all the activities that sometimes forced her to stay at home because of her size.

From our standpoint, we no longer need to wrestle carrying her in our arms if she tires out in the middle of an activity. We also don’t have to worry that she is underfoot if on the ground. She is quick as lightening and sometimes worrisome underfoot. And, at places like the farmer’s market and outdoor flea markets that we love to visit, there is a danger she will be stepped on if not in our arms. The K9 Sport Sack has opened a whole new world for her and we are thrilled she can join us!

The K9 Sport Sack is well-made and comes with all the bells and whistles! We love the freedom it has given Little Bit and us! It is comfortable for both her and us. Having said that, at only 7.5 lbs. it is not a lot of weight to carry. I cannot properly judge shoulder and back fatigue if you had a larger dog. You would need to use your own judgement on that.

How much does little bit weigh and which size bag do you have? Please and thank you.

Little Bit is 7.5 pounds and has the X-Small. However, the sizing also depends on length and girth of the dog. You can see the sizing on their website.

I love this! Sure would allow me to take my Christy places she normally could not go. Love the hook up around the neck. Looks secure!

Milo would end up licking the back of my neck like the dog in the picture, but I wouldn't mind.
