Around our house, my Lady is always fussin’ ’bout the dog hair and dirt we bring in. I don’t shed all that much, but them Shepherd brothers and sisters has enough hair to knit rugs with WOOF! But, I will have to own up to rollin’ in the dirt. It is one of my favorite things! I roll and roll and my Lady says I look like a ghost ’cause I’m covered in a layer of dirt and dust. With 7 dogs in my home, vacuuming is a daily occurrence and I really should be crowned the Queen of vacuuming! Five out of the seven dogs are super heavy shedders that leave wads of hair that float across the floor like tumbleweeds. If I miss a day of vacuuming, it means I will do double time the next day. Handles Large Particles Easily!

Another common problem I have is stray dog food. It seems my dogs like to spill their food bowls or drop food when they eat. Actually, most of them will take a bite and carry it somewhere else to eat – only they leave stray bits here and there. Instead of having to pick it up in my hand, the Shark Rocket Complete gobbles it right up! It handles large particles as well as it does the hair and dirt.

The roller brushes are easily accessed from the top of the vacuum cleaner. This makes it easy to get carpet fibers, strings, etc, from around the roller brush and clean the soft brush roll.

Mini Motorized Brush – Oh my! I love this tool! This little jewel is the best for cleaning upholstery like couches and chairs. Duster Crevice Tool – Besides just a crevice tool, this one has a brush attached to it and you can use it either way. It’s like having two cleaning tools in one. You can release from the short end of the wand OR at the power-head end if you need extended reach for ceilings or if you want to clean that forgotten trim on top of the window facings 🙂

From furniture, dusting, cracks, crevices, under appliances – there is a tool for that! And, back to the power-head – it swivels easily and is thin enough to get under most furniture.

Emptying the Dust Cup

Emptying the dust cup is easy! Simply press the button and it slides right off. Empty and you are ready to go again. I am ashamed to say I had to empty it quite a few times the first time I used it. I guess my old vacuum wasn’t quite cutting it. As time went on though, I can now make it through my whole house by only emptying a couple of times. Keep in mind I have 7 hairy dogs, which equals enough hair to weave a rug each time I vacuum!

Cleaning the Filter

I love how easy it is to clean the filter. You do not have to purchase expensive replacements. You just simple open up the filter compartment, take out the foam filter, wash, and replace. Easy peasy!

Finally, I have to say I love the light on the Shark Rocket Complete! You can actually see the dirt and hair as you come to it. It is nice and bright. I’m not sure if that is a good or bad thing? Seeing all that dirt and hair sends me into a cleaning frenzy!

Does the Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Pass the Pet Test?

When you live with as many furbabies as I do, you want a vacuum that is EASY TO USE and is UP TO THE TASK OF LOADS OF HAIR AND DIRT! The Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Technolgy has tackled the problem head on! I love the ease at which it cleans the floors and how easy the attachments are to use. I also love that it DOESN’T LOOSE SUCTION POWER! It is a power-horse when it comes to sucking up debris! I cleaned everything in sight when I first got it and about did myself in, but the Shark Rocket was still going! While I have mostly hardwood floor, it transitions easily from carpet to hardwood to rugs. Cleaning wise, I give the Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Technology an A+!

However, I do have a couple of cons. First, and it isn’t really a big deal, the vacuum will not stand up on its own. You have to lay it down each time. It is because of the weight on the handle end. Secondly, and while it is a super light and easy to maneuver vacuum for the floor, long runs at using the attachments and holding the weight in your hand can wear your arm out. Again, keep in mind that I have an unusual load of cleaning with 7 hairy beasts! Overall, however, I am very pleased and would highly recommend!
