Valentine's Day is a special day for all of us - leaving us pups out just ain't no option! However, everywhere you look, you'll see stuff for human folk - but us doggies get left out 🙁 That's about to change with these "You're My Honey" Valentine's Day Dog Treats.
Remember though, less is more when it comes to dog treats.
Us dogs shouldn't be fed treats several times a day, and treats should be bite-sized so they're used properly (as a treat, not as a meal).
Boy, it hurt to say that WOOF!

Miss Molly sure is a pickle, isn't she?!
But, I love her and the rest of the pack to death! And, of course, I want to do something special for them on Valentine's Day!
These tasty Valentine's Day 'You're My Honey' dog treats are perfect for the occasion!
The honey gives the treats just the right amount of sweetness to make them extra special.

Valentine's Day 'You're My Honey' Dog Treats

Ingredients:
¾ cup wheat flour
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups oats
⅓ cup honey (plus a teaspoon or so for drizzling)
⅓ cup low sodium chicken bouillon powder
⅓ cup hot water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350*F.
Combine all ingredients in your mixing bowl. The order doesn't really matter, but I combine dry ingredients first and then add the wet ones. Make sure you use warm or hot water, not cold water.
Knead dough until you can form a big ball. Add a little more flour if the dough is sticky.
Flatten dough on counter or cutting board, either with your hands or a rolling pin. If the dough is sticky, add a little wheat flour. Dough should be ¼" or ½", depending on your preference.
Prepare cookie sheet by spritzing olive oil on it, or use parchment paper.
Bake at 350*F for about 10 minutes, then flip the treats over and bake for 5 more minutes. Cool on a wire rack before drizzling honey on top.
This recipe will make a few dozen cookies. All ingredients are safe for human consumption.
