Call me silly, but I kinda like seeing my vet and gettin' fussed over WOOF! The pack and I want all our friends to now how they can have Healthier Pets. Happier Lives.™
The good folks at Hill's believes pets should live life to the fullest! The best way to do that is through daily quality nutrition and regular vet checkups! Lemme fetch my Lady to tell ya more!

Here's my Lady to tell ya How You Can Have Healthier Pets. Happier Lives.™
I have always been a firm believer in regular checkups, preventive care, and good nutrition for my dogs. Over the years, it has helped keep all my pets at their healthiest and living long, happy lives. First, let me say, there is no substitute for good nutrition! There simply isn't. Additionally, regular veterinary checkups and preventive care catches many medical problems early. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) recommends that all pets have a check-up at least annually, with senior screenings starting at age 7.

Ozzy's Story
If it weren't for regular checkups, I would never have known about the issue with Ozzy's bones in his legs when he was a puppy. A regular vet checkup caught his issue early and helped prevent dire consequences to the growth plate if it had been left unknown.
During the visit, I mentioned Ozzy whimpering often for no apparent reason. Because the vet was familiar with him, she was able to pick up on him walking strangely during his routine checkup. Long story short, he was experiencing what they call "growing pains" - just like some kids have in their legs. He grew at such a fast rate, it caused pain in the long bones of his legs. While there is not a lot that can be done medically for the condition, the vet was able to give me a customized plan for exercise and nutrition.
She recommended a good nutritional dog food such as Hill's Science Diet and suggested restricted exercise to protect his legs as he grew. Being a large, energetic breed, I would normally have allowed for a lot of running and fetch exercise to work out all that energy. However, the vet's recommendation was to restrict his running and exercise to prevent damage to the joints and bones as they caught up. Enrichment toys were our saving grace during this time!
