Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits with Carob Dip

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Biscuit Ingredients:

2 ½ cups rice flour
½ cup pumpkin puree
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons evaporated milk
1 teaspoon dried parsley
¼ teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, beaten

Carob Dip Ingredients:

½ cup carob chips
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits Recipe

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. Whisk together the pumpkin, eggs and peanut butter then stir in the evaporated milk and salt.

3. Add the rice flour in small batches, stirring smooth between each addition.

4. Stir until the mixture forms a stiff dough then roll out on a floured surface to ½-inch thickness.

5. Cut the dough into biscuits using a cookie cutter and arrange them on the baking sheet.

6. Use a fork to poke holes in the center of the biscuits.

7. Bake for 20 minutes then flip the biscuits and cook for another 20 minutes until browned.

8. Cool the biscuits to room temperature then prepare the carob dip.

9. Stir together the butter, almond milk, honey and vanilla extract in a small saucepan.

10. Add the carob chips and heat until the chips are melted.

11. Remove from heat and stir smooth then dip the biscuits in the carob mixture.

12. Place the biscuits back on a baking sheet and place in the refrigerator until the carob is hardened.
