Zuke's Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews for Dogs #Review

As usual, I only know if I like em or not. So, I’m gonna round up my Lady to s’plain all the particulars and why she likes em for us.

Here’s what my Lady had to say ’bout the Zuke’s Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews:

Y’all should know by now I am all about keeping my dogs teeth clean. Just as in humans, keeping the teeth and gums healthy goes a long way towards keeping them healthy. While there are a few ways of brushing their teeth, my dogs favorite way are the dental chews. Dental chews are a great way to freshen their breath and promote healthy teeth and gums. However, when looking at dental chews I look for ones that digestible, healthy and of course they have to be made in the USA. First, let me tell you a bit about Zuke’s:

Zuke's Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews for Dogs #Review

We had never tried the Zuke’s Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews, but I had heard a lot of good things about them. Of course I jumped at the chance for the pups to try them out! So what makes Zuke’s Z-Bones so special? Zuke’s Z-Bones are completely edible, grain-free dental chews that helps fight the dreaded doggie breath and clean teeth the natural way by using whole food fruits and vegetables. Upon reading about them, I was most impressed with the fact that they are highly digestable. This is because they are made of a pea and potato-based protein. They also contain ingredients such apples, carrots and cherries. Not only are they digestible, they are antioxidant rich! They also contain alfalfa, parsley, rosemary and fennel. All of these ingredients naturally freshen breath by supporting digestion. Of course, the chewing action and texture of the Zuke’s dental chews help polish the teeth and maintain healthy gums. What the Zuke’s Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews DO NOT CONTAIN are wheat gluten, cornstarch or synthetic chlorophyll!

Not only do Zuke’s Z-Bones clean their teeth and promote healthy gums, they are also fortified with vitamins and minerals and completely free of chemicals, color dyes, harsh additives, or preservatives. So, yep! Zuke’s definitely has my A-OK approval.

Zuke's Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews for Dogs #Review - sizes

Zuke’s Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews come in three tasty flavors, which include: clean apple crisp, clean carrot crisp, and clean berry crisp.

They are available in 4 different sizes:

  • Mini Z-Bones for dogs 10-25 lbs
  • Regular Z-Bones for dogs 25-60 lbs
  • Large Z-Bones for dogs 60-90 lbs
  • Giant Z-Bones for dogs 90+ lbs.

We had a chance to try out all the flavors and all the sizes since our pack includes pups ranging in size from the tiny to giant.

Zuke's Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews for Dogs #Review - Little Bit

Itty bitty Little Bit is only 7 lbs. But, she thoroughly enjoyed the Mini Z-bones size in the clean apple crips flavor.

Sallie and Miss Molly enjoyed the regular sized Z-Bones for weights of 25-60. Molly is borderline for the large size, so she actually shared in one of those also. They loved the regular size in the clean berry crisp flavor.

Zuke's Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews for Dogs #Review - Seager

Maggie, Brandi and Seager enjoyed the large sized in the clean carrot flavor. To give you an idea on size – they are a German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd and a German Shepherd/Lab mix. The large size was an ample sized treat for them.

Zuke's Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews for Dogs #Review - Ozzy

Finally, my big Ozzy, at 125+ lbs (you have to love the big goof ball) knew his name was on the giant Z-Bones! His Z-Bones were also in the clean carrot flavor and he could hardly wait until I snapped the pic!

All the pups absolutely love them! I think it is safe to say that the Zuke’s Z-Bones Grain Free Dental Chews are THE most favorite dental chew yet! Funny how all I have to do is mention it is dental chew time to make their ears perk up. They all immediately head to their beds to wait on them.

Purchase it!

And, did you know that Zuke’s donates a portion of all sales to The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund (DCCF)? I love that!

“Fuel the Love – Fuel the Cure” – help pets with cancer with a simple pic!

This initiative really proves that a picture can be worth more than just a thousand words! The campaign turns pictures into money – money that will support The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund (DCCFund), a non-profit organization dedicated to understanding, treating and preventing canine and feline cancer. The funds raised will be used to provide much-needed financial assistance to pet parents whose dogs and cats are suffering from cancer and to increase awareness of DCCFund as a resource to help.  What a wonderful and generous campaign from Zuke’s!

Have this brand of cat treats, they are very natural, they make a lot of pet foods, I think that they are rather low shelf life though.
