You have probably taken hundreds of family photos with the inclusion of your furry kids. Your dog appears in some, randomly and you feel guilty of not taking the time to include them in your family photo as a before thought. Here are four fun ways to feature your dog in your family pictures.
Get family costumes
Your family pictures can bear a theme to remind you of the special day that you wish to commemorate. For instance, Christmas time is an ideal time to have family over, enjoy each other’s company, and take a photo session to remember the special moments.
Consider going out for costume shopping while focusing on a particular dress code. Include your pets in the process and buy them costumes to look like the rest of you all.
Take your family photos donned in your outfits, all showing the same spirit.
Make your pet valuable in photos
You’ve probably heard of dog of honors. Recently, it has become a major trend that gives dogs a significant role in weddings.
We all know how weddings are essential events in the family. In that case, take great photos of your dog walking down the aisle while holding the rings or standing just beside the bride and groom.
They could also be part of your engagement surprise party. Balance the ring on your dog’s nose for a quick moment, and in quick shutter speed, take a perfect picture and propose to the love of your life.
Group hugs
Dogs show affection in many ways including random licks and hugs. This is one perfect way of displaying that affection in pictures.
Talk to your family photographer and ask them to look for the ideal time when the dog is jumpy, wagging its tail and looking for a warm hug.
Take a family hug photo while your dog stands on its hind feet with its forefeet around your arms or neck, depending on your position as a family. Make it easy for your dog to include itself in the family hug photo.
Welcome the new baby together
Welcoming a new member of the family definitely warrants the need to take family photos.
Your dog should be part of the family. During your photo sessions with the baby, bring in your dog. The perfect piece should find all of you, including the dog gazing at the new family member and showing him or her some love.
Any family photo album without your dog would seem incomplete, seeing that these pets are part of our lives. Before the sessions get boring, get creative, and use these four tips to make your dog stand out.
