What does it take to be a hero dog? Have you ever thought about it? I know there are dogs that do heroic acts and I agree they are definitely heroes. But, what about the unsung heroes of our everyday life?
I’m no expert, but if you ask me, I will tell you I have 7 real-life 4-legged heroes snuggled with me right now. For some, my pups may be ‘only dogs’, but for me, they are my heroes and my lifeline. As a friend of mine told me last night, you can’t think of me without the pups because we are a package deal. However, I have a special dark and handsome hero – a big black dog named Ozzy!
After hearing about the Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food featuring hero dogs on their television show “Hidden Heros”, I started thinking. If I had to choose just one of my pups to feature – who would it be? They are all so wonderful and loving, making it a difficult choice, In the end, I would have to choose my tall, dark, and handsome Ozzy.
My Big Black Dog is my Hero
While all my pups seem to have a special ability to know when I need them, Ozzy is my velcro dog. Most people would pass Ozzy by. Why, you ask? Simply because he is a black dog and a mix at that.
He is half German Shepherd and half Lab, but still considered a lowly mixed breed black dog. He is also huge, at 125 lbs with long sprawling legs, which makes him look like a long-legged awkward colt at times.
However, to me, he is amazing, handsome, and well – simply beautiful. I can also say, I believe Ozzy has special powers – as in, telepathy. He is SO tuned into my moods and thoughts. Without uttering a word, he seems to sense what I am thinking and when something isn’t right. When he senses I am stressed or upset, he will come to me slowly and lay his big head in my lap. He will look up at me with those big brown soulful eyes as if to say “what’s wrong Mom?”
Lately, there has been a lot of ‘what’s wrong’ and a need for Ozzy’s gentle comfort. There is no doubt that Ozzy and the rest of the pups are what has propelled me forward and gave me the will to carry on with life.
For those of you that don’t know, I lost my beautiful daughter 6 months ago tragically and unexpectedly. Losing my child was a blow like no other I have ever been dealt! It was – it is – a gut stabbing, heart-wrenching, I want to die myself type of pain!
There were, and still are, days I don’t want to open my eyes. I just want to cover my head with covers and hope the world to goes away. Can we rewind to a better time and place?
There are days of deep despair and days of uncontrollable crying. Days of not wanting to live myself. Days of nothingness. Trying to sleep, but it seems sleep has become an elusive thing of the past. Then, if by chance I do fall asleep, I am haunted by horrible images of that tragic night. It is a fit-full sleep.
During these times, Ozzy will snuggle close and I can feel the reassuring kiss of his cold nose! I feel his gentle nudge and the gentle licking of my tears. I look into his soulful brown eyes and I can only believe there is a true understanding of the pain.
He offers comfort in a silent, loving, and understanding way. Without questions and without judgment, he offers gentle comfort and understanding. He helps me through until the morning light shines and it’s time to try for a happy face for the outside world. Then, he stays by my side while I grapple with the simple acts of getting on with life.
Since my daughter’s death, and as if he understands I need him, Ozzy has become my shadow. If I move, he moves. If I sleep, he sleeps.
While I have a connection with all my dogs, there is something special about Ozzy. He has appointed himself as my guardian angel. I can only say that I am so very proud of him.
While Ozzy hasn’t run into burning buildings, diving into deep waters to rescue someone, or anything overly spectacular – he has reached into a very dark, deep, and ugly place of despair.
With his giant paw and gentle comfort, he pulled me back into the light. His big brown eyes, gentle kisses, and patience helped me find my way out.
At a time when words are just words made of strung-together letters, this gentle black dog of mine has touched me on a level that no person ever could. For this, he is my hero!
Ozzy and I love hanging out together and having quiet time. He especially loves cuddling up and listening to stories.
If you have ever read any of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books then you know they are special. I love the books and we especially love the Chicken Soup for the Soul “The Dog Did What” and its heartwarming pet stories.
To be honest, I’m not sure Ozzy understands what we read, but he loves reading time and hanging out with me.
I love good stories and he listens intently, tilting his head every now and again. I am more than a bit emotional these days, but Ozzy is always there to lick the teardrops away when they escape my eyes.
While Ozzy and I love snuggling in with the Chicken Soup for the Soul stories, did you know they also offer nutritious natural pet food?
For a pup as special as Ozzy, I want only the best and he loves the Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food! I love it because it is holistic and they offer both dry and wet pet food products.
Sometimes we even sneak in a few kibbles during our reading time. It’s so good that Ozzy thinks it is treats!
I love it when I read a label and the ingredients start off with real meat, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. I also love what it doesn’t have! The Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food contains no added corn, wheat, soy, artificial coloring, flavoring, or preservatives.
It’s a natural pet food I can feel good about giving to my hero, knowing that it promotes overall health and well-being for dogs and cats. Finally, and of course, all their pet food products are proudly made in the USA!
Ozzy loves the flavors and I love how healthy it is! Knowing how much he loves me and knowing I need to care for him is part of what pulled me out of my depression.
At least I can feel good about giving him good nutritious natural dog food. What better way than with the healthiest food I can find?
While I am not sure what tomorrow will bring, I do know that I won’t face it alone. I have a special paw to hold and he is willing me forward.
Ozzy reached in and grabbed me from the darkest hour and hasn’t left my side since. Ozzy may just be another big black dog to some, but to me, he is my hero and my strength!
What a sweet dog, and seems like a good pet food company too.
What a sweetheart
Lily & Edward
What a wonderful dog.
this sounds like it would be a good food for my little Angel
So sweet! Another way of finding heroes in our lives! Really heart warming!
Hi there Ozzy! Such a sweetheart. My kids would love a dog for a pet.
Your Ozzy sounds wonderful. Animals are amazing creatures, they ask for so little but give so much. I am so sorry for your loss, but so gllad Ozzy was there for you. So many in times when grieving it isnt about words, words dont much help but someone being there and a dog (and dare I say a cat too) can serve as a bridge to get back to living.
I have a dog quite a bit like your Ozzy…. his name though is Odin. Also a big black dog, shepherd, lab and we think border collie. He is a bit smaller at 90 pounds. He is a rescue too and lives amongst a group of cats. I love him to pieces, he wasnt what I was looking for when I looked for a new dog after my Jiffy (a chow passed from old age) but he is what I needed, and he needed me. He went through a lot before coming here, now he lives the life of Riley 🙂
sorry for your loss.really glad you have a hero in the form of handsome ozzy.who’s helping you deal with everyday life.
What a beautiful post. I can’t imagine the courage it takes to write this, and honestly to even get out of bed for you. I am a rescuer. We don’t have a rescue or shelter in our parish so I have become the go to person for help with dogs. Over the past few years I have helped more than thirty dogs find a new ‘leash’ on life. I know what you mean by them knowing what’s going on and then seeing your soul with their big deep eyes. I have a daughter that is twenty and I can’t imagine what would happen if anything happened to her. I applaud you for going on with life. God bless you and keep on keeping on. I completely agree with you that they’re not just dogs. They’re family. Your baby boy can help you through it.
What an awesome companion! Dogs are family for sure!
What a beautiful dog and I do love Chicken Soup for the Soul stories especially about Animals. I enjoy reading all sorts of stores about lovely dogs and cats!
He sounds like an amazing dog!
What a beautiful story about your dog Ozzy! He is so cute and I love his soulful brown eyes and I am so glad that he is such a comfort to you. So sorry to hear about your daughter!! I will be praying for you and think it is so wonderful that Ozzy is your Garden Angel that gives you so much comfort.
I love hearing hero stories about dogs. Labs are the best dogs and my favorite kind of dog. I too, have a black lab.
Dogs are amazing companions. It makes me wonder if we as human beings would be better at it if we could stay out of our own heads.
Dogs are such amazing pets! I am so glad you have found one who can be there for you. I love curling up and reading a book with my dog Emmitt too 🙂
My heart breaks for you but I am so glad that you have Ozzy there to help you through. I know personally how comforting our animals can be for us. I think sometimes animals come into our lives for a reason.
Your story touched my heart!! Ozzy is definitely a blessing in your life, and you in his 🙂 What a bond!!! I’m glad he like The Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food…I never knew they made pet food until now!!
Ozzy is a beautiful lab mix! We’ve always owned labs and think they are the best dogs! Right now we have a 4 year old yellow lab mix. He is a true snuggler, and places his head underneath your chin! He always has to be laying near you and touching you. Like Ozzy, he knows when something is wrong and gives me an extra cuddle. Love dogs!
Thanks for bringing a heartwarming tear to my eye.
So sorry for your loss. Dogs are family and it is very hard.
I am so glad that Ozzy has been there for you. Pets do have that sixth sense and tend to know exactly when we need them most.
So glad you have Ozzy! My daughter would love a dog!
I loved your story. Dogs are my heroes too.
I commented earlier… black dogs rule. Often those who are overlooked are angels in disguise.
First I would like to say I am very very sorry for your loss. And I truly believe that our pets are in tune with our moods and feelings. When something is wrong, they reach out to comfort us and to let us know we are not alone. That is love.
Your puppy is truly amazing that is an unconditional love
He sounds like a wonderful dog. 🙂 He reminds me of Zach, the dog we had when I was growing up. He was a Labrador/Retriever and such a sweet dog.
I believe animals have a sixth sense and are there to bring us comfort and love when we do need it most.
Ozzy is such a beautiful dog and he does have such pretty eyes! I am glad that he brings so much comfort to you, and that he is fun to play with and keeps you comforted!
What a wonderful companion. Pets are pure blessings in our families.
Some dogs are irreplaceable . They have a six sense, They know when we need a little more TLC then usual. I had surgery on my hand and our dog would not leave my side. That night she came to my bedside every hour to make sure I was doing ok
Dogs are family 🙂
i never understand why black dogs and cats dont get adopted, sometimes they dont even place well in dog shows. Ozzy looks like a wonderful friend. dogs are people. as my breeder states mini schnauzers are little fuzzy people. so i have 3 little girls. they have great books.
black dogs and cats have such a problem getting adopted and even in the show ring. they are just as good and sometimes better than other colors, but they are our 4 legged children and deserve the best no matte what color they are. chicken soup for the soul has great books for both adults and kids and have a great array of pet foods.
I have had many special dogs and cats in my life and I can see how special this dog is to you.
Dogs are sensitive, intelligent, and very loyal animals. It’s no wonder we always see stories about dogs who have saved their family from their burning house, or stayed with a lost child in the woods until help came, or doing any one of hundreds of different heroic things. Humans could really learn much from these amazing dogs. And, it’s not ONLY dogs, but cats and other animals, too.
I would love to read more heartwarming dog stories! Ozzy looks like a sweet dog!
Ozzy does seem like a wonderful and compassionate dog. You are lucky to have him.
Your dog *is* beautiful (and black dog/cat syndrome shouldn’t be a thing! )
Every dog is a hero at heart. It’s just a shame that so many black dogs are overlooked at shelters and such.
Some dogs really do have ESP when it comes to what their owners are feeling. Glad you have him around.
Dogs and cats too are so wonderful to snuggle with. I know my cat and dog when they were with me always provided comfort to me.
It sounds like Ozzy had a huge impact on your life!!
I like the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and they really are so encouraging to read! I really think your dog Ozzy is an incredible dog and so loving!
Such a sweet dog, and the pictures of him are adorable. I feel the very same way about my dog.
dogs really are man’s best friend , well to me anyways . my dog senses when im not feeling well or upset and is always there ready to cuddle and make me feel better .
A friend of mine has 4 black labs. All beautiful sweet dogs.
What a great dog!
Truly a great dog, they give love and have such a pure hear. I have a black dog too!
He is so precious and protective. Glad he is in your life!
Oh what a wonderful dog you have. I sort of wanted that with my dog that I adopted, but he’s what you might call ‘special needs’ himself (he is a senior with many problems). Still I love how he likes to be near me all of the time. He lived for years and years outside in a muddy yard with nobody, so he really likes having a mommy.
I am so sorry that you lost your daughter. I am so glad you have your pups, especially Ozzy, to keep your spirits up.
Pets can be such a comfort to us two legged creatures.
I do find Chicken Soup for the Soul books comforting and wonderful to read.
This woman really loves her dog like I love mine I really admire her for going on with her life with all that she’s been through.
Such a sweet dog, and the pictures of him are adorable. I know you are so glad to have him. I feel the very same way about my dog.
Ozzy is so handsome and has brought you a lot of healing and comfort. My dog does the same and he is a very good dog who is so loving like yours!
Sorry to hear about your daughter, you think positive and keep going for her. I have a furkid that knows when I am upset also. She somehow knows when I will need surgery on something before the doctor tells me, or something is wrong under my skin I can’t see, she knows first. If she starts sniffing others like this I tell them something is wrong see a doctor, don’t wait. My neighbor. I told her my furkid is saying something is wrong. The following week she found out she had 2 types of cancer.
my 3 gals are my heros. especially my oldest who was so good with my mom. she pulled my mom down the hallways in her wheelchair, knew exactly what room she was in at the adult center, made her get up and exercise would talk to
my mother over the phone.
Awwwww! So great to bring recognition to our 4 legged hero’s that are a huge part of all our lives!
This is why I love dogs so much. They really are part of the familhy
Theses dogs are very pretty
I llike animals better than most people. Your dog is a very special one.
Amazing!
I love your story. It’s funny thing, many time we think we are rescuing an animal, when in fact they are rescuing us.
I find it amazing when dogs are service dogs, or rescue dogs or do heroic acts. They are wonderful animals.
Dogs are amazing at understanding. I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I’m glad you have your dog. They do help comfort and love you.
WOW! Ozzy does have a big paw. But it is so cute and he got some really nice dog treats in this picture. I am so glad that he is a great comfort to you!
Such a great dog, and the pictures of him are adorable. I feel the very same way about my dog.
The book sounds very inspiring as the other chicken soup books are.
I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. I lost a son and I know that sometimes comfort can be impossible to find anywhere. Bless Ozzy for being such a comfort to you.
I was always a dog person until about 6 yrs ago when I lost both of my dogs. Then a pregnant feral cat showed up on my property & had kittens.
I trapped them, got them fixed & they live inside now. It’s been an interesting learning experience & I actually enjoy having them for company. 🙂
Still miss having dogs but I’ve been busy taking care of even more feral cats due to people dropping animals off out here in the country. I wish folks would realize that most farmers will kill Any stray animal that comes on their property, and unfortunately there is No law that will protect strays. :o/
I can’t save them all but do what I can within my budget.
Anyways, I love your site & am glad I found it. Really appreciate you doing giveaways.
Take care.
As a fellow black dog owner , all I can say is I have never understood the dare I say prejudice against dark colored dogs and cats? I know they dont photograph well at all when they are in a shelter, and so many times they are passed over. Your Ozzy sounds like a great dog and one who although just another ‘black dog’ is so much more.
It’s really great that you have him, he is a fantastic dog and very cute. I love all the nice pictures you shared.
I just love looking at your dog’s beautiful brown eyes and I am so glad that you have Ozzy and that he is such a help to you!
such a beautiful dog!
Ozzy is a beautiful dog. I had a black Lab named Onyx for 5 years and someone stole him. It’s been a year and I am still not over it. I loved him dearly. He was my best pal.
every dog is a hero if loved by someone. i miss my nasha so much
Our dog, Meshindi, died about 9 years ago, but he was a great dog. He was a hero to neglected and abused kids that he visited at a children’s home. He was so gentle with all the kids. Meshindi will always be our dog hero.
I believe sometimes our dogs are our angels. My father lost his sight when he was in his 30’s he trained our family dog who was also black crossbreed to be a seeing eye dog. “Charcoal” was also our family dog. I am sorry for your great loss! I was never able to have children so I can only imagine the pain & sorrow, I have two people that are very close to me that lost daughters & my husband lost a brother to drowning at eight years old. I always wondered how my Mother-in-law made it through. I guess one day at a time. I lost my very best girlfriend ever, in October & cry just about every day still, because I have never had a connection as close . If I didn’t have my doggies to love on & them love me, I don’t know what I would do. I will hold you up in prayer & I am very thankful you have Ozzy to help you see you through. PS I one of those people who happen to love black dogs.
Ozzy seems like a precious boy! I don’t know what I would do without our two pups. 🙂
Dogs are amazing – this one especially.
All dogs are heroes in their own way.
Heros come in all shapes and sizes and some even come with fur. Animals have more heart that people ever can.
I’m so happy you have Ozzy and your other babies to be right by your side to give you that unconditional love our pets can bring to us. I have 3 dogs all mixes from the shelter and 4 cats. I’m so very sorry about the passing of your daughter. I know she watches over you as well and I’m happy Ozzy and the others do too. I love how you said spirits helped you get you fur babies I hear that all the time from my friends love those stories too.
These are beautiful photos of Ozzy. You can see how wonderful he is!
I don’t understand why black dogs are the last ones to be adopted. I know so many black dog heroes. Black labs make great family pets.
I am rather partial to black mutts 🙂 I have one myself. Your Ozzy sounds like a great dog and rescue dogs rescue us much more than we rescue them.
What a beautiful dog with such soulful eyes.
I had never heard of this brand of pet food but it makes sense, though, because the book series focuses on love andwhat better way to show love for our pets than to give them the healthiest food possible.
He is a beautiful dog!! He is sure big too!! I have a bichon frise and i know he knows when I need attention too. They are so smart! Thanks for sharing about your dog. I love them!!
I liked a quote: Dogs can speak, but only some people can hear them.
I have read “Chicken Soup for the Soul” My Cat’s life and I found it wonderful also.
What a really special dog Ozzy is, and I like his name. It is so wonderful when our dogs bring us so much comfort!
It is amazing how some animals can be so tuned in to their owners. Ozzie is one special dog and glad that he is there for you.
Your pictures of Ozzy are beautiful as his soul. As an owner if a black dog, they are tough to photograph! I love his eyes.
i love how dogs fill these huge voids in our lives and dont expect anything but basic needs in return
I think that this is a very great brand of food. I also think that the pup is so darn cute!
I am grateful for all the dogs that I’ve had in my life.
I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. Losing a child is the hardest thing that a parent will ever do. I lost my son on Jan 2, 2011. My 135 blonde german shepherd mix Cujo helped him when he came home from Iraq with severe PTSD. He was my son’s shadow, woke him up when he had bad dreams and would sit and listen to my son’s stories of the hell he saw in Iraq. After my son passed away, Cujo was back to being my velcro. We were both depressed over the loss and some days we would just lay in my bed cuddled up together. I lost Cujo in March and my heart was broken, he was the last link to my son, but I know that he is with my son, watching him for me until I get there. I have a new puppy now that the owner was going to kill because he had accidents in the house. Scout only weighs about 8 pounds and is 6 months old, but he knows when I need the extra cuddles and he helps me get through the day. Big hugs to you and your puppies, they really are what our broken hearts need. <3
It’s really great that you have him, he is a fantastic dog and so very cute. I love all the nice pictures you shared.
lovely dog,I had dog’s all my life till about 6 years ago moved into a apartment and now we have cat’s there sweet but just not the same as a dog.
He is a hero.. I think all dogs have the heart of a hero. They know you need them, and they are there without fail. Love the pictures of him, he is beautiful.
I love that this dog seems to sense what you thinking and when something isn’t right. That is amazing.
What a great story! Thank you for sharing.
Your dog is such a sweetie and I love that my dog is so comforting to me too! Ozzy has gorgeous eyes!
I love this! Dogs are heroes to me!
I can’t imagine my life without our fur babies! They have a such a real bond and understanding of us.
A amazing dog, and he knows exactlly what you need. Unlike most humans dogs are tuned in and aim to please. They would and can do anything to make your life better and more enriched.
What a beautiful dog – you can just see it in his eyes. Dogs are incredible animals – and can be such a comfort to us when we are going through trying times. They CAN truly sense our moods and when we need a boost, a kiss on the cheek, or just a cuddle. So glad that you had your special pup as a comfort for you!
Debby
Heroes come on many shapes and sizes. Yours happened t come along in the shape of aa black dog 🙂 Its a good thing… dogs can show love without a sound, they can be best friends and are always glad to see you. Even as their muzzles gray they see you with only love.
Sorry for your loss and sol glad you have such a sweet dog, and the pictures of him are adorable. I feel the very same way about my dog.
Your dog Ozzy is just adorable and I think he is such a good dog and such a blessing to you!
Before reading this, I had no idea that Chicken Soup for the Soul made pet food. That’s very interesting. Don’t think that I would have guessed that. I do love their books though! 🙂
This is a heart wrenching post. Thanks for sharing. I love animals so much!!
Ozzy is such a beautiful dog that brings so many memories for me! I had a puppy that looked just liked that when I was 8.
Animals make the world a better place! I don’t think I would want to exist if they weren’t around.
You are so best to have such a great companion in your time of need! I’m sooo sorry for your lose! I have a German Shepherd/ Lab mix & she is my best friend! She seems to know when things are off too, she’s a very clever girl! I know she will be there no matter what!
What a owonderful site. After my 24 year old son passed away (Juatin) my pug is always by my side (Miley) I think she knows he is no longer around. So sad on pets too loosing a family member they loved so unconditionally like we love them.
It looked like Ozzy was an incredible dog. Thank you for sharing this story with us!
I’ve always found mixed breeds are the best dogs! They get the best of all sides and have the sweetest personalities!
Ozzy is such a sweet dog that is so loving! I am glad that he is helping you cope with the loss of your daughter!
So sorry for your loss and so glad you have such a sweet dog, and the pictures of him are adorable. I feel the very same way about my dog.
Dogs have a way of bringing us comfort and so much love when we need it the most. Ozzy is a beautiful dog and I am so sorry for your loss.
What an awesome companion! You are so lucky to have such a wonderful dog!
I love Chicken Soup for the Soul Books – even more when they are about animals and the special relationship with their Humans! My dog makes me smile and laugh everyday! I would be lost without her!
THanks,
Debby
I miss having a hero dog in my life.
Your dog is a hero, as are so many other animals. For some animals are theiir only thing that gives hope, peace and love. I believe in angels and in heros and some come with fur.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I’m glad that Ozzy is able to give you all his love and support when you need it. He sounds like a really great dog!
he seems to be such a sweet dog and I know what you mean by comforting you my dogs helps me alot
The pups are so cute in the book! I am going to love getting this book and reading it.
What a beyond beautiful dog! And I would love to try this pet food. I also like to read chicken soup for the soul books, and have not yet been able to read one on dogs. I would love too though. <3
Heros come to us when we most need them… and yours came to you. I keppt reading your story, and am so glaad you have your hero, he knows to stay aand comfort and can do it wwithout maaking a sound.
What a beautiful dog. I love his deeply caring eyes.
This is a wonderful article. I do feel animals like cats and dogs are wonderful and sensitive pets.
Ozzy has a beautiful, sweet face. Bless him for being such a comfort.
Dogs are really amazing animals & can touch your heart if you let them! They truly are our best friends & more! I’m so happy you have such a wonderful friend in your life, they are a blessing! Well I know my dog is my very best friend! Thanks soo much for sharing!
Such a very touching story. I’m so sorry about your daughter.
Dogs have an uncanny way of knowing when we need them the most. I lost my husband the beginning of last year and my dog Patches stuck to my side just like Ozzy did yours. Sadly, I lost her 8 months after my husband.
My son has a dog that looks like Ozzy. They both are beautiful, inside and out.
btw, I didn’t even know that Chicken Soup made dog food. I’ll have to look for it.
Sending you and Ozzy virtual hugs.
I like your concept of your velcro dog who sticks to you.
I was really touched by the warm story. I thank you for brightening my day.
I would recommend this book to everyone. I think everyone needs to read this.
I’m just so very sorry for your loss. Thank goodness that Ozzy is there for you in this time of grief. He sounds like a wonderful dog. Please know that you’ll be in my prayers.
So sweet.
Ozzy is a special dog good story.
(A Hero in the Form of a Big Black Dog #MyPetisMyHero) I already have a black cat named Ozzy, so if I were to ever get a dog, I would have no problems with having a black dog either.
I really believe dogs (and cats) really can feel their human’s pain. My cat acts differently if I am sick or upset; when I am better, he goes back to his normal self.
My dog is named Ozzy and looks JUST LIKE HIM!!! The similarity is really remarkable! He’s 1/4 husky, 1/4 boxer, 1/8 greyhound, 1/8 german sheppard, 1/8 st. bernard, and 1/8 chow.. weighing in at 80lbs.
This is such an amazing story! I know first-hand how much my furbabies mean to me !! & I also know how beneficial pets can be for a owner & their family! Thank you for sharing your wonderful story!
I am a mommy of 2 little girls, and read your post crying. I am so heartbroken for your loss. Thank you for sharing your heart on your page. This dog is a sure comfort and a hero for helping you so much.
Dogs are such a blessing! Such a nice story.
I have read several of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book, I havn’t read any on the dogs, i’ll have to check these out. I love books with inspirational stories.
@tisonlyme143
Ozzy is a hero and I am so glad that you have him. You are in my prayers.
I really enjoy the Chicken Soup series!
