Do y’all remember me tellin’ we was gonna be tryin’ some stuff to help us with our doggie bad breath and that tartar and plaque buildup on our teeth? Well, we’ve been tryin’ out TropiClean’s water additive. Seein’ as to how some of us can be a might snappy when ya mess with our mouths, the water additive is a simple dental solution! Actually, we can’t taste in none, but it does leave our mouth feelin’ mighty fresh! My Lady even let me give her a big ole smooch the other day!
My Lady says the TropiClean Water Additive is easy to use. She says she just adds a cap full to our water bowl. Seems purdy simple to me and we got a likin’ for it! Lemme let my Lady talk to ya ’bout it cause I bet your pups would like it too! But, just for the record, I’m a likin’ my new smoochable mouth! WOOF!
Here’s what my Lady says about TropiClean’s Water Additive for Doggie Bad Breath!
Did you know that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of periodontal disease by age three? Yes, it starts happening that early! EEK! Once they have peridontal disease, and it’s left untreated, oral disease can seep into the blood stream and cause serious health risks. We often hear about this in humans, but it also applies to our pets.
As a pet parent, it is our job to take care of their overall health and one of the first signs of oral disease is bad breath. Sometimes, bad breath is just plain old bad breath. But, if your pet consistently has bad breath, it’s past time to take action. So, exactly what can be done? Brushing their teeth is very much the preferred treatment. In cases where that just isn’t possible, and if you’re in my shoes and have a dog that is not cooperative and you cannot wrestle your dog down to brush his teeth every day, I have the perfect solution!
TropiClean Water Additive makes things so simple for daily oral care for our pets! TropiClean is good wholesome ingredients that are natural and healthy. Taking care of your pets dental care will help them live a long and healthy life, which is what we all hope for! Ozzy sure enjoys his water! We won’t tell him his teeth and breath are getting taken care of with each drink!
Ozzy’s a sweet boy! He is even kind enough to clean up what he dribbled on the floor (sometimes)! They cannot really taste the TropiClean in the water, but they seem to enjoy their cleaner mouth. And, they sure enjoy being allowed to give those big sloppy wet smooches! Let me just say, when you’ve been smooched by a dog the size of Ozzy – you know you’ve been SMOOCHED! We call it him a cow licker! The smooches are also much better without doggie bad breath!
While I feed all of my dogs separate, most of them share a water supply. I always keep two bowls filled with fresh clean water and add a cap full of the TropiClean to each bowl. They love it and I love it! I know that with each drink, it’s helping to promote healthy gums and fresh breath.
While Ozzy is fairly cooperative with whatever I want to do to him, I have a couple of dogs that brushing their teeth would be an impossible feat. There is no way Sallie is letting you touch her mouth. Little bit, even though a tiny Chihuahua, can be very nasty when trying to do anything near her mouth. To save the snaps, snarls and bites – TropiClean Water Additive is perfect for them! For even the cooperative ones, it is an added protection and gives them great breath! Oh, and did I mention – even if you already do brush your pets teeth, TropiClean is great for added protection against bad breath and gum disease. It’s also great if that little thing called ‘life’ happens and you need to skip a brushing!
In addition to the TropiClean Water Additive, they also offer TropiClean Dental Chews and the Clean Teeth and Gums Gel. I am loving the assortment of dental care items for doggie bad breath and healthy teeth that TropiClean has! While mine are receiving the benefit of the Water Additive now, I am anxious to try the Dental Chews and Gums Gel in the near future! A few of mine are heavy chewers and I’m sure they would enjoy the TropiClean Dental Chews. For the ones that don’t favor the chews, like Maggie, the Clean Teeth and Gums Gel is a perfect match. I will let you know how those go over with the pups. Be sure and follow along to our post on the dental chews! For now, we are well pleased with the TropiClean Water Additive and are continuing it in our daily dental routine! Who knew there were so many easy options for taking care of our pets dental health?
What do you do for your pets dental care? Do you brush, give chews, etc.? Does TropiClean Water Additive sound like something you would love to try?
Wow I am going to find out where to get the TropiClean Additive as soon as I can. Our girl has quite a bit of Doggie Breathe and we have tried many things. Thank you for a great review!
i might have to get some of this for jr my dog
I have five rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds and three cats, also rescues. Let’s just say that not only are my dogs not good about me brushing their teeth, but with five of them it’s especially hard to take care of them as well as I’d like to. This product sounds like it would be great for our pack.
I love how simple this is to use. Definitely will try it for our doggy and her bad breath!
I’ve been using the TropiClean Additive for some time and it really works. This is an awesome product.
Our grandson says her mouth smells like poop.
I think my dog really needs that. Due to skin problems, his dog food is Holistic fish and fruits, he has really bad breath and he won’t let me brush his teeth. Where can I find this?
I want to get this ASAP for my dogs,so easy and
if it works ~that would be great.
I have 2 Labs and this TropiClean Water Additive is something I would consider trying.
Sorry I do not have any pets 🙂
Thanks for the info!
I don’t have a dog anymore but I will share this with my sister for hers.
I don’t have pets but two of my friends have dogs and this would certainly be benefial for that doggie breathe both dogs have. Thanks for the post.
Carol L
My dog doesn’t need this right now but I’ll keep it in mind for when she does.
I give my dog dental chews. I never heard of this before, but would love to try! Thank you for sharing!
I definitely will have to try giving this to my dog. thanks for the info!!
I think I need to try this~ Mr.Beeg’s kisses are starting to get a bit stinky ;/
We bought some doggie toothpaste, but Toby isn’t crazy about it. We need that! It is a simple solution!
This seems like such a simple solution to my dogs stinky breath. Love that it is natural and healthy too.I should definitely give it a try (although I worry she will not drink the water-she sure is finicky)
I have one dog that is really picky about her water. She has a separate bowl because she won’t drink after the others. Anyway, she laps it up. Apparently it doesn’t have a taste once diluted in the water.
Thanks for the info!
that sounds graet, still only want the occasional kiss
Yes, I would use this, but I would use it for my cats too!
Hey, whatever works. Dogs can have some awful smelling breathe!
Brushing teeth is such a hassle! Luckily my three year old chi-poo isnt showing signs of peridontal disease or gum disease but I think im going to try thia to prevent it. Thank you (:
I have some and brush once a week too. Blackie is better off with this I thingk. TFS.
My dog’s teeth are in good shape and I would like to keep them that way. He doesn’t like them brushed so this is a great alternative.
If this truly works I’m going to get a few bottles for my friends dogs.
It’s working great on my dogs! I can definitely tell a difference in their breath!
This seems like a great idea and it’s nice that it’s really easy to use.
We have tried this before and it works great!
I need coupons, samples to try this for my meow sons I have heard good things about this product
I will be trying this!!
My dogs don’t drink much from the water bowl, they get their food softened with water and it works perfect for them. I wonder if I could put it in their food while it soaks..
Boy does my dog need this to fix her breath! I have never heard of this item before.
I have a dog with stinky breath and this looks like a real simple solution to try.
I know for the dogs that I babysit for , I often give them a dog chew it has something that is suppose to help not only with there teeth but breath 🙂 thanks for share
Yes, this would be an easy solution to my pets bad breath and dental care. Thank you for sharing this!
I own cats but my grand dog eats cat poops from strays that come in her yard. She needs this.
I know some people who could use this. LOL!
Nice review. Looks like a good product.
I had a Yorkie that I had to fight with to clean his little teeth. This water additive would have been a blessing. I won’t give up doggy kisses!
I Love this Doggie additive to their water idea! I have 2 shih Tzu’s who will not let me brush their teeth. They get checked out by the vet and everything seems fine and neither of them do have bad breath (unless it’s right after they eat and they kiss you!) As long as they really can’t taste it in the water (I have 2 picky eaters here) it would be great just to keep their teeth and gums healthy! I have, in the past, had dogs with bad breath and bad teeth! But, these 2 do not. Thanks for the terrific information on this product! I will be checking it out once I get some time! I truly appreciate this! Thanks again, Michele 🙂
I am definitely going to have to give this stuff a try since it is good for both dogs and cats.
I actually never had a problem with my dog’s breath, my cat on the other hand… LOL
I like that it is as simple as a couple drops in the water bowl. Sounds easy enough. My dog could benefit from this.
I should try this. My dog’s breath is kicking like Bruce Lee.
I tried this for my 12 year old chihuahua and it did not work.
Did your furbaby already have a lot of plaque? Also, I know it takes a few weeks to really see results.
is it safe for cats?
Yes, it is! It’s great for dogs and cats.
Vicki, my baby, is not fond of having her teeth brushed. While she is generally mild-mannered,brusshing can garner those growls you mentioned. Not to mention if you don’t hold her firmly, she’s gone as soon as she spots the brush. I have tried a water additive in the past but she wouldn’t drink the water with it. I’ll have to try this one since the review says there is no taste.
Yes, I have 7 dogs and none of them minded it at all. Even Sallie which is very picky with her water. She has a separate water bowl from the rest because she won’t even drink after the other pups. It’s definitely worth a try!
This seems like something that my dog could benefit from.
wow. we definitely need this for our dogs.
troiclean sounds like a real winner to me thanks for the info
This is a much needed product for my 2 dogs
That’s awesome! Our dog is stinky even after the groomer brushes her teeth.
Yes, this is one of the best solutions to pet’s bad breath that I have ever seen. What a fantastic idea. I think I’ve tried about everything on the market (except this) and haven’t had the best results. I look forward to trying this.
It would be so nice not having to brush my shepherds teeth. It usually turns in to a mat wrestling match with me insisting back teeth get brushed and her insisting that she is flexible enough and wiggly enough to escape my grip.
What a great idea. Gonna have to try it!
TropiClean water additive sure sounds like it would be a great help in dog dental care for my Valentino.
This sounds like a great solution to dogs bad breath! I love that it doesn’t have any taste, and adding it to their water is just genius! I would definitely love to give this stuff a try!
would share this with my neighbors for their little foo-foo dog
Oh my gosh my dog desperately needs this! I will definitely be checking this out!
This product sounds wonderful for my older dog with bad breath.
I used to be better at brushing my dog’s teeth, but I got out of the habit of it. I do give them dental chews and feed them quality food that helps with dental health.
I want to order this for my girls,is it o.k.for both to drink from
the same dish?Noticed you have the Neater Feeder.
I have 7 dogs here. I use the Neater Feeder with water in both bowls for their water (all except Sallie and Little Bit). It is a little to high up for them and they don’t like drinking after the others. I feed them separate. They all share the water bowl and it works great. I just fill them up and add a cap full of the TropiClean each time.
Thanks for your review on this product!! we give the puppies chews and TRY to brush their teeth….I’m thinking this may really help us keep up with healthy teeth and gums
It’s great for when you can’t brush their teeth and added protection and breath freshener added to the brushing! I am loving it!
I love the idea of something to help with doggie breath even though my dogs doesn’t smell too bad. Your Ozzie looks almost just like my Simon except my baby is getting lots of gray hair in his black coat.
Awwweee!!! My Ozzy is still a youngin’! He will be 2 in January, but he is the sweetest baby! I’m sure I will see gray someday. I love sweet seniors!
This water looks like a good product. I give my dog denti-chews.
what a great idea – might be a good idea for people too!
My babies don’t have bad breath, but I’m sure they can sure use this in their water to keep their teeth and gums healthy! With no taste, it shouldn’t bother them when taking a drink of water! Thanks so much, Miss Molly, for the information! I appreciate it! Thanks, Michele 🙂
You’re so welcome!
TropiClean seems to be great I really need to go out and buy this as soon as possible. Thanks for this info.
LOVE THIS! We could most definitely use this with our boston! I’m going to have to check it out!
thats really neat. Im gonna have to check into this! Thanks!
This definitely seems like a good solution for stinky dog breath.
My dog really needs this. She is always trying to get into the litter box. It’s really gross and leaves her breath smelling awful.
wonderful review! Thank you!
I am trying to start my pugs on a good habit and brush their teeth but they hate it. I really want to look into this product more.
How awesome! Our dogs have the worst breath! I would love to try this!
good golly miss molly–my dog needs a shot of this every now and then!!!
My pups definitely need this! Trying to brush their teeth is a nightmare, but they sure love to drink water!
I keep our Sophie’s bowls clean for her better health
Where can I get this? I need it for my babies stinky breath lol
It’s sold online on their website – link in post. I also believe Amazon and pet stores have it 🙂
Awesome, thank you! I’ll be headed to the pet store tomorrow! 🙂
My puppies could sure use some fresher breath!!
I would really want to purchase this for my daughters
two dogs. The elder one has had some issues with her teeth.
This would work great for her, because she does not want to be messed
with.
This seems to be a terrific product! My “fur babies” do not have bad breath. However, they probably could do for some of this TropiClean’s Water Additive. You say it really doesn’t have a taste and that’s terrific because these “fur babies” are very finicky! They could use this to keep their teeth and gums healthy though! Thanks so much for the information! Michele 🙂
Aloha Friend:
I just love this page, so many wonderful tips & great information! Thanks!
OMG, my dog needs this!~! Especially when she first wakes up. LOL
I know what dog breathe can be like. One of our older dogs had bad breathe. This looks so awesome.
If I find it in my store, I’ll try it for my furbaby.
SO good to know that products like this actually work and aren’t an arm and a leg!
I am going to have to give this a try
my dogs got the nastiest breath of any pet Ive ever had-def worth trying
Hmm. I’ve never heard of this product, but will definitely be checking it out. My dog Gavan doesn’t have bad breath or teeth, necessarily — actually, his vet said his teeth look awesome — however, I would love to get something other than his toothbrush and toothpaste to help with keeping his teeth looking nice.
This seems like a really good product for those who have dogs with bad breath. I like that it’s easy to use.
My rottie likes to eat cat poop from the stray cats that come in the yard. He is so bad. We need this.
Didnt know they had something they can drink kinda like mouthwash for dogs you put in there water dish, good to know gonna be on the look out.
We do chews for breath, but this seems like a very good option. I’m going to have to search locally for TropiClean Additive!
Omg, this is definitely need in my house! I am for sure getting some of this!!!
Thank you!
what a cool product. never seen anything like it…i am intrigued by fresh breath with no brushing!
This product is amazing!!! my dog makes the biggest mess when she drinks her water – somehow it always ends up all over the floor –
Interesting!
what an easier alternative to cleaning dog teeth without actually using a tooth brush!
Such an easy way to help clean my dog’s breathe.
this sounds like good stuff for your doggie
Thanks for posting about this awesome product! My oldest dog, Duke, has quite horrible breath, and we’ve tried so many things! I will definitely have to try this out! Thanks so much, again!
Thanks for the terrific review and information on the Doggie Bad Breath? Love to #SmoochUrPooch again with this Simple Dental Solution! My dogs do not have bad breath, however, I do feel that they can take advantage of this solution (because of no flavor) to strengthen their teeth and gums and make them healthier! Thanks again, Michele 🙂
My dog so needs this, I have to shoo him away because his breath is awful.
I am so interested in all of the reviews,my two dogs are not interested
in having their teeth cleaned. One especially, has had to have her teeth cleaned
under.anesthetic I worried and want to find an easier way.
I’m glad Ozzy likes it and now has fresher breath.
I will have to get this for my little pal…his breath is horrible, this sounds wonderful !!!
my dog just licked my face and I immediately thought of you and needing to try some tropiclean 😉
LOL!
This seems like it would be a great idea and it’s nice that it’s really easy to use.
I sure need to find this I have 4 huskies and one has the worst smelling breathe
Love the idea of this product.
Definitely need to try this with my dog!
Fantabulous offers
Seems Simple to use!
Thank you!!
JUST picked up some of this for our dogs and they love it…and so do I!!!! It’s amazing!
I’d love to find a product that really works for this.
This seems like a really good solution for that horrible dog breath problem.
Ooh fresh pet breath
My grand puppy really needs a new bed
May have to give this a try! Certain treats give my girls bad breath, but they love those treats, so I don’t want to have to cut them out. Perhaps this could be the solution to them enjoying their favorite treats while maintaining good breath too.
tht would be great for my dogs they both have bad breath
Oh man this is great! My bulldog has some awful breath. Thanks for all the information!
If it would get rid of that doggie breath it sure would be worth whatever it cost!!
I think we will definitely need to give this a try.
I would love to try this with my cats. Several of them are getting older and I worry about their dental health.
So far so good. Ours dogs are digging this stuff and I am too because their breath smells amazing!
My shepherd has the worse smelling breath. I will have to give this a try. Thanks for the post.
What a unique and useful product, I’m in!
Just curious, have there been studies to show this can replace brushing your dog’s teeth? Thanks!
I really need this badly for my dog.I’ve tried different products and none of them seems to work
really good stuff i here…woof woof
This is great for dogs that don’t have a sensitive stomach, but my one dog had tried it and it made her throw up. It’s not the product.. let me say that. The product is great. My other dog uses this without any issues. She still has to get her teeth cleaned, but it does help a lot. She certainly has cleaner teeth and better breath than the other dog. Over all a good product.
I use dental chews/bones
my Dog has terrible gas often. I feed him science Dog food and have started limiting any human food. Is there anything I can do?
I know what you are talking about! I had one on a Science Diet food for a while to lose weight and yes!!! The gas was horrible! we stuck it out and eventually changed food.
Oh I know what you mean, mine has the the same problem with some foods, like Ol Roy. I have found that the ones that have more wholesome ingredients work best. I feed him Rachel Ray now and don’t have nearly as big a problem. Only his once in a while snack of human food causes a problem now.
I would love to win this for my boys!! Thanks
I think this is a great idea, we have to do what we can to take good care of our pets oral health.
I’ve been looking for this in stores
This product is very useful!! Thanks to your review I tried it an am how satisfied with our dogs breath!
I tried brushing my dogs teeth but that did not go over well. I think the TropiClean would help. Thanks
Thank you. This will be a big help
I will be buying this thanks so much for the review I have never heard of this before my girls will be happy.
I see you’re like me and use both sides of your Neater Feeder for water. While my dogs make messes with their food, they are far worse in getting water all over the place. Having my Neater Feeder has been a godsend. Of course, my pups hate getting their teeth brushed and even when I do manage, I worry about missing areas. I’d love to use this product for my pack.
Love that it is so easy to use.
Everyone in our circle has dogs, actually multiple dogs,so this will be in every ones bowls.
I brush my dogs’ teeth regularly, but would love to try this, too.
I will send this to my brother the dog owner. He just may like this for his Terrier.
Great products
i didnt know about this, i give my dogs chews to help keep their teeth clean
I could really use this! I have 3 dogs and a cat and their breath is awful! It would make life much nicer!
Hello again Miss Molly! No my fur babies do not have bad breath! However, Like I said before, Since you cannot taste this in the water, My babies would benefit by keeping their gums and teeth strong and healthy! THANKS AGAIN, MISS MOLLY! GREAT GIVEAWAY!!! I LOVE IT!!! Thanks so much, Michele 🙂
This might be good for Sparkie if his breath starts getting bad. So far, he hasn’t had any problems.
I bought my pooches a similar solution recently at Feeder’s Supply. Haven’t tried it yet. Hope it works!
I would think this would be a really good solution for that bad dog breath.
Wow!!! We have to try this 🙂
Putting in the water sounds simplest to me. My dogs have bad breath~!
I went to PetCo and bought some TropiClean for my dog Sophie and she doesn’t even really notice it in the water bowl. She is getting her teeth cleaned and she will be all pretty and fresh for the holidays!!
So need to try for my josie
This is so awesome! Thank you for telling me about this. It is perfect for LB!
Well your review has sold me.. I have two american bulldogs with terrible breath.. and one of them loves to do nothing but give kisses.. he’s a kissing fool! It would be nice to get those kisses from him without having to hold my breath first. 😛
Where can I find this stuff? Do I have to order it online or can I find it in a store? Either way, thank you!
My dog is in dire need of this!!! I love finding dental products for him to try. Thanks!
I hope I can find this at one of the stores
This water additive sounds very useful. Thanks for sharing!
Do they have any other flavors of this stuff? I’d be super interested!
i would love to try some of this!
Going to check this out… ty
I want to give this a try. Our dog sometimes has bad breath.
My dog needs that!
Soundslike a great investment, for my dogs killer breath:-)
Thank-You so much for the review~I want to get this asap for my
little fur-baby’s
I have three beautiful Barbies, whoo do they have some breath.thanks for sharing this.
Sooo funny… Cow Licker! That definitely fits our Black Lab, Chipper, too. Thank you so much for this awesome review.. i’m definitely going to check this out. Right now we use Greenies for his teeth/breath but I want to make sure that he is healthy as possible 🙂
[email protected]
I’m a dog groomer and we use the Fresh Breath foam at work. It’s amazing!
Ok, so Sophie is using this and hasn’t gotten her teeth cleaned yet, and her breath is a tad bit better already! I have to say I am a bit surprised by it!! I admit it … I am a believer now.. I will continue to use TropiClean with her from now on. 🙂 Thank you so much for this review! I had tried other products and they didn’t really do much, so I wouldn’t have tried this one.. but with your review.. you talked me into it. Good job!
I have never heard of this product before. I think it is a clever idea but I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving this to our dogs.
Hi Miss Molly! I’m back again. No my babies don’t have bad breath! However, since your product has no flavor in their water bowl, they can take advantage of the healthy teeth and gums! Thanks again for a great product! Michele 🙂
Ronnie could definitely use some of that. She just had surgery and has been on medication and that hasn’t helped.
This sounds like a great product. Will be giving it a try.
Thanks for this review I will have to check this out. This sounds great for doggie breath.
I’m definitely going to have to look into getting this for my dogs.
I use this between dog teeth brushings. It keeps their breath fresh and clean.
This sounds great, I wish we had known about this sooner. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow – I had no idea that periodontal disease often affects dogs and cats as young as three! Sounds like Tropiclean is a reliable solution!
wow..neat and its healthy for your pet also !
I’ll have to try this. The last time I tried to brush my dog’s teeth I ended up with a bloody nose from his head.
This is a wonderful invention. Lucy Lou has very bad breath and she really needs this.
This is just what my dog needs!
might just have to get this, thanks for the review
Have you noticed any difference in the dogs teeth? I have been wondering about this, I have tried other things with not much luck. Like you said some dogs are more cooperative then others when it come to their mouths.
