I'm kitchen retarded but i have 3 15 yr old fur babies (schnauzer, Yorkie, and shihtzu) that have bad teeth, bad breath, and developed senior food allergies to chicken and wheat and pancreatitis tendencies. It was suggested that something similar to your recipe could be modified to add pumpkin and brown rice to make it easier on their teeth and easier to digest and the eggs could be replaced with applesauce to take the food allergy out of the equation. I'm in over my head with all of the conversions and time adjustments. Could you maybe see if it works and walk me through it please? They all turn 15 this week and they're such good girls that their original owners just couldn't care for anymore once potty problem cleanups were more than they could handle because of illness or having to move to a nursing home so we kinda became a whole new family of old fart invalids that keep each other going and going and going lol. They deserve a snicky treat for getting this far but I'm not sharp enough to figure it out lol. Little help please???
I'll even send ya the gimpy old farts with potty problems girl band photos: We call ourselves Pissy and the Shihtz
Pissy: Yorkie Sader-doo (aka Bat$hi+): Schnauzer that has dementia Hamster: Shihtzu
and I'm their photographer that catches what's never a dull moment with Sade sign around... Shi+wi+ the Gimp
I'm the poster child for straight A's doesn't mean you're smart. I ran over myself with my own car on an icy hill. If the car slides off the road and gets stuck in a snowbank... Stay inside the car. Your car couldn't stop, next car won't be able to either when it slides into yours. Trust me.
Proof I'm not very sharp. But I've got my fur family because of it so it's a fair trade. 🥰

I omit one egg and use a ripe banana with some peanut butter instead. I also add a tablespoon of ginger with helps with digestion and breathe as well. My dog LOVES these more than any other treats. She used to eat grass when you'd taker her for a walk, and she no longer does, so I'm guessing it's also helping with her stomach as well as her breathe.

@Brent Matsalla, What type of ginger did you use?? Fresh? Ground? Thanks!

Can I use regular cooking oil? My dog hate anything coconut. Can these be frozen?

Yes, you can use vegetable cooking oil. It's just the coconut oil is better for them :)
