This recipe turned out great as written. Only 6 ingredients; what could be better?
I rolled out the dough to approx. 1/2" thick and cut into circles using a 1 1/2" diameter cookie cutter. I put a score mark across the center to make it easier to break them in half for my maltipoo. Yield was 30 full diameter treats.
If you are having trouble with the dough sticking together add a drizzle of water. It helped me especially after re-balling the leftover dough.
I'm sure it goes without saying that flouring the board and rolling pin will stop the dough from sticking to them.
Good luck. My dogs love them.

I just tried this recipe tonight for my dogs. Because the cost of some of the name brands are so expensive , made outside of the USA, and I have four dogs I decided to give this recipe a try. I did add a little bit of honey but the dogs did like the snacks. Thank you so much for the recipe it is definitely a keeper.

I am in the process of making these...I did make a few changes. I used a combination of oat bran and oats. I didn't change the amount listed, I just combined them to make the 2 1/2 cups because I found oat bran on clearance in my grocery store. Everything was going swimmingly until I got to the part where I rolled the dough out. It didn't seem to stick together enough for me to roll the dough out. Instead I decided it would be easier to just do balls....so I rolled them into balls instead and baked them for 30min. I just pulled them out of the oven and they look great. I'll let you know what my dog Milo thinks soon.........

I thought my vet told me that I had to use only infusions of mint, but the actual plant & source are harmful for dogs? Do i have to use the leaves?
Molly says
Mint is not harmful to dogs IF used in small quantities. In a large amount, it can be harmful. With that said, the amount in the recipe is not harmful. But, yes, you could use infusions of mint too 🙂

My dogs love them! I am curious tho, are these safe for cats as well?

Homemade treats are great! I like this recipe.

Just made these & our pup loves them! The consistency was more wet so we weren't able to use cookies cutters (this time) so just flattened some drops of the dough. Fun to make. And they taste good (yes, we had to try a tiny bite, too).
