If you're like most pet owners, you love your pet. How can you not? When you have them, they become a part of the family. However, more likely than not, you are looking for ways to keep your pet from shedding on the furniture, right?
First, it is important to do everything you can to take care of them, including giving them the proper vaccinations when necessary.
You should take your pets to a licensed veterinarian like 1st Pet Veterinary Centers in order to give them the vaccinations that they need to stay healthy.
Now, back to the awful shedding problem! Even though you have pet-friendly furniture, shedding is a huge problem!
The following is a list of three things that you can do in order to minimize that dreaded pet hair on your furniture.

1. Brush Your Pet Regularly.
Sometimes, you cannot completely control your pets' behaviors.
However, one thing you can control is how much hair your pet is shedding.
If you brush them on a regular basis, there will be less hair shed.
This way, even if they get on the couch whenever you are not around, there will be a fraction of the pet hair on the couch that there would have been otherwise.
2. Buy Washable Slipcovers for Your Furniture.
If you cannot stop your pet from getting on the couch, you can at least stop them from having direct contact with the couch.
You can buy washable slipcovers and put them on your furniture whenever you are not going to be home so that the pet hair will stick to the slipcovers rather than your furniture.
3. Put Citrus Scents on Your Furniture.
Even though humans find citrus scents to be clean and fresh, pets generally do not like these smells.
What you can do is place closed vials of these scents onto your furniture in the hopes that they will repel him or her.
Over time, your pet will learn to associate the furniture with those scents and may not want to get onto your furniture even once you have removed them completely.
As you can see, there are many things you can do in order to alleviate the problem of pet hair on your furniture.
You can't always control what your pet is going to do when you're not around.
Even if they know that the furniture is off-limits, your dog is likely smart enough to know that they can get away with getting up on the furniture when you are not there.
As such, you should take the right preventive measures in order to preserve your furniture.

The best way is to just keep them off! Animals should not be on furniture, it's not clean.
